Funding and testbed support for CareTech innovators
Digital care technology developers are invited to apply for a small grants programme supporting the development of innovative solutions for adult social care. Successful applicants will receive funding, technical support and access to an adult social care testbed, enabling them to develop and test their ideas in real-world care settings. The programme aims to accelerate technologies that improve care, support care professionals and address some of the sector's most pressing challenges. Applications close on 13 August 2026. £4.6m funding available to help reduce MSK waiting times
Community musculoskeletal (MSK) providers in England are invited to bid for a share of £4.6 million in funding to help reduce waiting times and improve access to care. The funding, delivered through Getting it Right the First Time's (GIRFT) MSK Community Delivery Programme, will support local initiatives aimed at reducing backlogs for patients waiting more than 18 weeks for appointments. Primary Care Ready accelerator programme
The new Primary Care Ready accelerator will equip innovators with commercial insight, NHS knowledge and practical support to become procurement, investment and adoption ready. Innovations supporting, workforce, neighbourhood health, long-term condition management or frailty, will be a focus. Deadline for applications is 23 August. Full details.
SBRI NHS Cancer Programme Innovation Open Call 4
Innovators developing technologies that can improve cancer diagnosis, detection and patient outcomes are invited to apply. Delivered by SBRI Healthcare in partnership with NHS England, the latest funding round aims to accelerate the adoption of mature innovations that can help improve cancer waiting times and patient outcomes across the NHS. Defence Medical Services seeks research partners for military healthcare innovation
The Ministry of Defence is inviting expressions of interest from organisations interested in delivering military-relevant medical and healthcare research through the Defence Medical Services Research Steering Group (DMSRSG). The programme supports military-relevant medical and healthcare research projects, from foundational science through to applied research, provided they demonstrate a clear route to improving clinical care or operational capability.
